Transfer Students
- Broadway Dance Center accepts M-1 and F-1 transfer students.
- If you are currently in the United States on an M-1 visa, you will be
considered a Transfer Student. If you are currently in the US on an F-1
visa, you will be considered a Change of Status Student. These two
processes are quite different.
- In order to qualify as an M-1 transfer student, you must transfer within
the first six months of your current program.
- In order to qualify as an F-1 Change of Status student, you must have
been in another program for a minimum of 5 months.
- You must apply at least 45 days before the end of your current program
and 60 days before your intended start date.
- Please complete the application process as detailed on the application
page, then make an appointment with the ISVP Director to process your
application.
- Once you have been accepted, you need to meet with the Administrator and
pay half the tuition.
The Administrator will advise you on the documents needed and the
submission process you will need to follow, after which you will send all
of the paperwork and a $300 fee to US Citizenship and Immigration Services
(USCIS, formerly INS).
- Once your application has been submitted to USCIS it can take up to two
months to receive notification. During this time, while your application
is considered 'pending,' you may not leave the country.
- Once you receive the first letter from USCIS you may begin the course at
the start of the next semester. You must keep Broadway Dance Center
informed of your status at all times. The receipt letter is not your visa
approval; it takes another four to six months to receive approval on your
visa.
This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.
