Wright
Jayson Wright began his career as a dancer
in his hometown of Dallas, TX. Inspired by breakin’, poppin’,
and lockin’, he performed in many talent shows, nightclubs, and
competitions. It wasn’t long before he landed a national commercial
and a feature role on a television dance show.
He soon became involved in music as a singer/songwriter, and performed
his original songs in various venues such as Hard Rock Café, and
was also the opening act for Latin sensation Selena. While performing
as a singer, he continued dancing and choreographing for many local artists
and events like Sea World of Texas, San Antonio Spurs, Inner City Games,
and was the opening act for artists such as Jay-Z, LL Cool J, K Ci and
JoJo, and Roger and Zapp, among others.
Jayson then moved to Los Angeles to continue his career in choreography
and dance and hasn’t looked back since. He has had the pleasure
of dancing for artists such as Pink, Lil’ Mo, Keith Sweat, T Boz
(of TLC), and Justin Timberlake on the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards. His
choreography credits include Tweet, Donnell Jones, O-Town and 98 Degrees,
to name a few.
In addition to his career as a choreographer and dancer, Jayson has
also become one of the most sought after dance instructors around the
world. His classes and workshops attract many students from beginner to
professional levels. It’s not unusual to find dancers and choreographers
for Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears, *NSYNC, and
Usher, taking class from Jayson. Catch him when you can!!!
