Ant Boogie (Anthony Rue II)
was born on June 15, 1982, in Albany, NY. He later moved to Brooklyn, NY where he was raised.
His love for dance drew him to the New York City Ballet principal dancer Jacques d'Amboise and the National Dance Institute. At NDI, Anthony trained in ballet, tap, jazz, flamenco, and African. The training that Anthony gained in the 5 years that he attended NDI, gave him the opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center Honors and the White House. Anthony graduated from NDI in 1997 and then was accepted to LaGuardia High School of Music and Performing Arts, where he continued to study various forms of dance.
At the age of 16 Anthony's professional Hip Hop Career picked up with his first project working with P.Diddy's Label, Bad Boy Records. After working with BadBoy, while still in high school, Anthony juggled video shoots and promotional shows. As soon as he graduated from Laguardia High School, he immediately began touring with the girl group, 3LW. While working with various recording artists, Anthony was also working with the group he founded in 1996, AmountBoyz. You can purchase AmountBoyz Album on Itunes Today.
