CURRENT CLASSES:
- Sunday 6-7:30 pm Adv Beg Funk
When not busy explaining that his name is not spelled “C-U-E”
or “K-E-W”, Q Pittman
can be found teaching his unique style of choreography throughout
the tri-state area. He kicked off his career in New York by
immersing himself in classes at Broadway Dance Center studying
Hip Hop, Funk, Ballet, and Jazz. His dancer/choreographer
credits include: Kelis, The Chris
Rock Show, As The World Turns,
The CBS Early Show, MuchMusic
Canada, as well as numerous projects for VH1 and MTV.
A graduate of Baltimore School for The Arts, Q often brings
a highly theatrical approach to class choreography, oftentimes
involving props or partnering. His classes begin with a stretch
and tone warm-up followed by a combination where personality
is stressed as much as precise movement execution. The routine
is usually set to music ranging from hip hop, to R&B/pop,
to hard rock --- and anything in between. Ask anyone who is
familiar with his class and they will assuredly tell you,
“expect the unexpected”!
