Idrissa Kelly has been seen
in Dance Africa NY Dancer, Dance Africa Chicago,
African Street Festival (ATL), International Arts Festival,
Kwanzaa Celebration, Inaugural Ball Council Celebration, Harlem
Week
Festival, Shaka Zulu (Principal Dancer),
Black Arts Festival, and KWANZAA Alive 98.
He has also
been in the following companies ~ Les Ballet Bagata (1995),
Djoule African, Indoda Entsha, Forces of Nature.
All Levels African: Guinea, Ghana,
Senegalese and many other styles of West African Dance will be
taught in this class.
Through the power
of the Djembe orchestra, you will learn the fundamental and traditional
ways of executing these West African styles. Besides dance, you
will learn a verbal and musical vocabulary that will teach you
the meaning behind each dance. African is said to be the basis
of all styles of dance. Come learn and be motivated by the sound
and movement of West African Dance.
