Cris Judd
Cris Judd

Cris Judd didn’t make his rise to stardom over night. He did it (and is doing it) the hard way...he’s working at it. That he’s a one-of-a-kind actor and personality is easily discernable as he hosts the new upcoming series, "Dirty Dancing" for the WE Network, airing now! And he just completed the pilot, "Bust A Move," for MTVNE. Very soon, Cris’ independent film, "Be My Baby," will be released, but currently his role in "Two Up, Five Down" is making the rounds. Winning the $200,000 prize on ABC’s highly rated show, "I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here," garnered for Cris his first impressive fan base, and proved he’s only a unique actor, but one with a growing number of admiring fans.

His most recent small screen credits include guest-starring roles on Nickelodeon’s "Unfabulous" and UPN’s "Half and Half and Eve." Recently, he wrapped production on "Dance Like We Do," an instructional dance DVD to be released nationwide later this year. Cris also had a staring role in the Off-Broadway, Victoria Theatre production of Dracula. Cris’ dance career began after college, when he landed a job as a dancer at Walt Disney World. As his passion for dance grew, so did his popularity as a dancer and choreographer, which soon landed him a dance contract with Disney’s Pleasure Island. With Cris’ fame on the rise, his creative and performing skills were brought to the attention of MTV and Michael Jackson. His appearance with the entertainer at the 1995 MTV Video Awards led to his becoming a part of Michael Jackson’s Dangerous and History world tours. Cris’ dance career exploded like the Big Bang, with concert tours, music videos, award shows and films, including working with such celebrities as Cher, Celine Dion, *NSYNC and Brian McKnight.

His innovative choreographic aptitude was recognized by Jordan Knight, for whom he and Eddie Garcia joined talents to choreograph several dance numbers. Cris and Eddie became partners and choreographed Jennifer Lopez’s videos, “Ain’t It Funny” and “I’m Real,” and they worked with Perry Farrell on Jane’s Addiction’s 2001 Festival dates. Their other credits include the MTV Video Awards with Jennifer Lopez and her network TV concert special.

Cris performed in and choreographed the dance sequences in the hit, "Bringing Down the House," starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. Cris is now working with new artist Paulina Rubio in all facets of her career. Add to all that his present project, the innovative production of "Debbie Does Dallas," which opens shortly at Harvey’s, the resort at Lake Tahoe owned by Harrah’s. It’s obvious that Cris’ talents run many ways and deep. They include along with his acting and dancing, his skill at the piano and his songwriting. One of his songs is included in the "Enough" soundtrack. His resume is lengthy and impressive...and becomes more so almost on a daily basis.

Cris’ start in life was a humble one. He was born in Abilene, Texas, the son of an enlisted, non-commissioned Air Force officer. Although he spent the majority of his childhood in Florida, Cris saw the lights of many cities, but finally chose for his home the one he loved most, Los Angeles. L A is where he lives and does most of his work; although Broadway Dance Center caught him for a few master classes in NYC! He believes it provides the inspiration needed for his choreography, his music and songwriting, his acting and his performances.
