Danny Herman

Danny Herman is an internationally recognized director, choreographer and actor.

As the associate choreographer for Michael Bennett's Pre-Broadway Workshops of Scandal, Mr. Herman recognized his passion for creating original works, and has since collaborated as a director and/or choreographer on the following World Premier productions: Adventures in the Skin Trade (Long Wharf, New Haven), Another Midsummer Night (Goodman, Chicago), BLOW ME, A New Revue (Playhouse 91, NYC), Die Soldaten (American Premier, New York City Opera), George Lucas Super Live Adventure (Lucas Films/Feld Entertainment, Japanese Tour), Jane Fonda Workouts (Designed by Theoni Aldredge, Shubert Theater, NYC), Love Comics (George Street Playhouse, New Brunswick, NJ), Madhattan (New York, New York Hotel & Casino, Feld Entertainment, Vegas), Nightmare Alley (The Directors Company, NYC), Norman’s Ark (Theaterfest/Bayside Productions, Montclair, NJ), Revival (The Bottom Line, NYC), Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus (3 International Editions), Rugrats, A Live Adventure (Pace/Nickelodeon, 2 World Tours), Tabaluga and Lilli (Fritz Rau/Peter Maffay, 2 European Tours), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (The Rep, Nashville), The NEW Revue (Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts), The Perfect 36 (The Rep, Nashville), The Prince and the Pauper (LA Children's Theater), The Rise & Fall of Isabella Rico (The Directors Company, NYC) and The Stand In (Naked Angels Theater Company, NYC), as well as dozens of other Broadway Musical Classics all over the country.

Mr. Herman has received Chicago’s Jeff Award, Artisan Award, and After Dark Award, was awarded a Platinum Album for his contributions to the record breaking Tabaluga and Lilli, and co-directed and co-choreographed the recently acclaimed Dreamgirls - the 20th Anniversary Benefit Concert, raising over a million dollars for The Actors' Fund.

Danny Herman has recently appeared in the original Broadway and Off-Broadway productions of Contact. He was also Mike Costa on Broadway in A Chorus Line, in the original Broadway production of Leader of the Pack, the original Off-Broadway production of Big Bad Burlesque, and the first National Tour of Song and Dance.
