Class Description

Int Adv THEATRE DANCE:: My main objective of this class is to keep everyone well versed in all of the many different styles of musical theater, while providing a supportive, comfortable and most importantly fun atmosphere in class.

It is a truly "you get out of it what you put into it" class. It is for the student who wants to be challenged both technically and stylistically, and for the student who wants to maintain their level and stay in great shape. The class will begin with a very thorough, but easy to follow warm up incorporating ballet, modern, yoga, pilates and of course jazz techniques that moves at a nice pace.

Then moves on to the basics of jumping, turning, and kicking, adding progressions for people who would like to "have a few tricks up their sleeves" , and then spending most of the class learning the routine, letting you dance the combination enough to be able to perform it comfortably so you can concentrate on what you need to for yourself.

It will focus on learning how to dance a choreographer's specific style in a group, and also how to pull from your own strengths that make you special as a soloist.
