Flash & Eric
Flash & Eric

CURRENT CLASSES:

  • Wednesday 1:30-3 pm Int Hip-Hop
  • Sunday 3-4:30 pm Adv Beg Hip-Hop * now-Feb 24

Born to Puerto Rican parents, Luis “Flash” Rodriguez is the “ying” to the choreographing duo.  A product of the Boogie Down Bronx, New York the hustler mentality is something that goes with the territory.  Not inhibited by the stereotypes, Flash allows his passion and vision of success to fuel his movements on a daily basis.  His past experience includes touring with Mary J. Blige, Omarion, Jennifer Lopez, and 3LW among many others.  Currently Flash can be seen in advertisements for “Cavi Designs” clothing line (http://www.cavidesigns.com).

The “yang,” Eric “E-Nyce” Negron, is also a veteran to the dance world.  Having toured with the likes of Beyonce, Missy, Chris Brown, and others his background compliments those of “Flash” and make them an unstoppable mix. Currently, E-Nyce can be seen in the new Chris Brown video featuring T-Pain “Kiss, Kiss.”

Both dancers have been expressing themselves among musical greats since the tender age of 17.  Looking back from this moment in 2003, it's easy to forget that just a few years ago, raw uncut and untrained, they met.  2 years later they were able to collectively use their talents on the set of R & B singer, Mario’s project.  There the two fused together a blend of skill sets that allowed them to be the choreographers for his “Turning Point” tour in Africa and stage show.  The rest is history.

Not taking this gift for granted, their experience in dancing allows them to not only break down artistic barriers, but constantly reinvent themselves and reach untapped markets through education, giving back to the community, and networking with past colleagues.  Most recently they have continued to fine tune their skills while teaching at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City, NY, their persistence, dedication, and mentoring allows them to not only do what they love, but also the ability to constantly be creative.  Anyone who has seen them move feels not only the energy, but a genuine enthusiasm for the art.

Their work can also be seen as they continue to work with Def Jam’s new artist “Unique” and super producer, Kwame’s protégé, Tash.
