NAMED ONE OF NINE DANCEMAKERS MAKING HISTORY...Dance

Geoffrey Doig-Marx is the Artistic Director of "The
Mantis Project" Dance Company, Creator of "The Elan Awards",
an annual showcase that in 2002 will honor Ann Reinking. (In 2001 The
Elan Awards honored Choreographer Jerry Mitchell with Special Guest Cady
Huffman from "The Producers" and Jason Upshal from "The
Full Monty". 2000 Winner was Graciella Daniele with special guest
Susan Lucci and Hope Clarke) and Co-Creator of "The Elan Dance Festival"
sponsored by The Broadway Dance Center. Geoffrey is also a member of The
American Dance Guild, Dance Theater Workshop, The Field and Actors Equity.
Geoffrey was named one of nine dancers making history by DanceSpirit
Magazine. His work has appeared on "PBS", "The CBS News",
"What's Hot New York", "DRA" (Dancers Responding to
AIDS) "Performance Outlet at Broadway Dance Center", "New
Dance Group" and New York City's "First Night 1997". Geoffrey
had choreographed and taught for various theaters, Entertainment companies
and showcases throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. December
2000 Geoffrey's work was part of "DRA", "The Best of Broadway
Dance Center Showcase" and "The American Dance Guild Festival".
Geoffrey received "The Harkness Choreographer Grant" at Purchase
and a Choreographers grant from the New Dance Group in New York City.
"The Mantis Projects" permanent home is at The Broadway Dance
Center in New York City.
