A popular jazz teacher for 20 years, Andrea Brown has
been instrumental in many of her students securing parts on Broadway.
She has studied extensively in all types of dance
and performed with Ballet, Modern and Jazz companies worldwide and in
theatre, TV and film. She has assisted Mary Hinkson, Clive Thompson and
Hans van Manen and coached celebrities. Drawing from her varied background,
she has developed her own funky eclectic style, making her a favorite
guest artist in college dance departments. Andrea is a teacher who really
teaches and gets results!
Class Description
Beg JAZZ: Fun, high-energy class focusing
on placement, turns and how to "pick up" quickly for beginners.
Perfect for actors and singers as well as bankers, lawyers and secretaries.
Valuable for all.
Int JAZZ: Set warm-up - Simonson style.
Focus on placement and stretch. Combination always high-energy, styles
vary from funk to lyric to theatre dance. Adagio on Saturdays. Across
the floor on Sundays.
